Hysterically
funny tale of upper class twit Bertie Wooster and his unflappable (and
world-famous) butler, Jeeves. Bertie creates havoc at the country estate
of his long-suffering Aunt Dahlia when he decides that he’s better
suited to solving all the family problems than the inimitable (and
brilliant) Jeeves.
He manages to destroy the engagement of cousin Angela to Tuppy Glossop,
offends chef Anatole so deeply that he resigns, and so disastrously
handles the romance of newt-loving Gussie Fink-Nottle and Madeline Bassett
that he ends up engaged to Madeline himself.
Meanwhile a rummy scheme to spike Gussie’s orange juice leads to a truly
amazing prize-giving presentation to the students of the Market Snodsbury
Grammar School. It’s up to Jeeves to find an ingenious way to set
everything right again.
